The summer vacation for most of the students in the Philippines has started and this means it’s time to plan for a family or barkada summer outing.
You won’t have to go far to have a fun water adventure this summer if you’re in Metro Manila. Relax and have fun at Ace Water Spa. They have two branches: one in Quezon City and the other one in Pasig City.
Hydrotherapy at Ace Water Spa
Ace Water Spa is not your ordinary swimming facility. You don’t go there just to swim and escape the summer heat, but also to be cleansed and healed. It’s a place to soothe the body and treat body illnesses.
This is done through hydrotherapy massage, a kind of therapeutic massage using “Ultrasonic Jet System.” The system massages specific areas of the body with its aquatic jets strategically located to soothe tired and aching muscles. Massages come in varying degrees: soft, moderate and hard massages.
The four hours maximum time is more than enough to try out all the pools and different types of massage. We went to the spa at night so there were only a few people at that time. The lazy river and rainfall acupuncture are easy favorites.
I’ve been to the Quezon City branch years ago with the family and enjoyed my time there. Late last year, in December, I had the chance to try out the Pasig City spa facilities. One good thing about the Pasig branch is its great location. Situated within Ace Hotel and Suites along United St., it is centrally located in the bustling business district and a few minutes away from major shopping areas (Estancia Mall, Robinson’s Forum, SM Megamall, Shangrila Plaza).
Water Spa Within A Hotel
So, yes, The Pasig branch is in a hotel. It’s a rather small hotel. But the hotel more than makes up for its size with its topnotch leisure facilities, which includes the water spa, and also its KTV party room, and the Skygarden Lounge and Skyhigh bar which boasts of a grand view of the city skyline.
Several Dining Options
There are good dining options inside the hotel and nearby. Check out the pretty breakfast buffet spread.
Comfortable Hotel Room, Competent Staff
The room we stayed in is pretty standard, but comfortable. Wifi signal is good. 😉 The spa and hotel’s best assets are its staff who are all friendly and efficient.
Except for the the two buffet photos, all the photos are from the Ace Water Spa and Ace Hotel and Suites websites. My photos were taken in December; the hotel was decked in Christmas decor. That wouldn’t be suited for a summertime piece. 🙂 Anyway, no picture taking is allowed inside the spa itself.
