Transaxion Unlimited’s CEO, Mr. Kerwin Wong, shared Owl’s rich history in an audio visual presentation. Established in Singapore in 1956, Owl is known for its “distinctive taste of coffee and tea from the culturally rich Straits Asian region,” that “extends from Penang through the Straits of Malacca to Java.”* The company continues to evolve with the establishment of the 1st Owl Cafe concept store in Star Vista Singapore.

Ms. Mona Chua, Vice President for Marketing, shared her Owl coffee experience and what led the company to bring the brand here in the Philippines: “The first time I got to taste OWL Kopitiam Roast coffee was from a friend who came home from a Singapore vacation. I never thought that an instant 3 in 1 coffee can be so good! From then on, I became hooked to its taste. As partner of OWL Coffee in the Philippines, we are so happy and proud to bring another good product to the Filipino consumers. I encourage everyone to try all the flavors and enjoy your own OWL coffee experience!”

Launch attendees were given sample packs to bring home. I’ve tried most of them and so far, I like best the Nanyang White Coffee Gula Melaka variant. It has a rich flavor and a distinct aroma, like that of toasted grated coconut, that I find appealing. It’s definitely something that I’ll look for the next time I’ll go grocery shopping.

Below are the coffee and tea variants available in the Philippines. Owl has lots of instant coffee varieties. Whatever your coffee preference is, you’ll find something to like here.

The company is currently holding a series of events all over Metro Manila that aims to introduce the Owl brand and to show that with renewed energy and vitality through drinking Owl, people can achieve more success in the workplace.
